Bio
I started my working career off, not in the art world, but always wanting my path to head that direction one day. I began work as an electrician full time, supporting my wife through school and the beginnings of our new family when we had our first baby. I painted when I had the time or chance, always in the evenings and late into the night when I finally had some time to myself. I would lose myself in time while I painted and finish in the wee hours of the morning, feeling like I just wanted to do it all over again the next night. Painting became my love, and my desire to change careers grew increasingly with each painting I produced.
I finally made the decision to step out in faith and leave the security of a promising electrical career to pursue the thing that made me happiest. Painting. The feelings that painting gives me is that of freedom, pride, and accomplishment. To see a blank canvas set before me and watch it come to life with each stroke and each splash of color brings such a desire to continue on this path.
Art has always been in my blood. I grew up with an artistic brother who inspires me continually to improve. My mom has always encouraged creativity in both my brother and I and taught us to use our imaginations to their fullest, even as young kids. I’m a self taught artist and have been painting as my primary outlet of art expression for the past 5 years and am looking brightly forward to the future and where art will lead me.
